Sony Vaio 16.4” laptop screens – time to be careful and pay attention

We have some words of warning for people searching for a 16.4” screen replacement for their Sony Vaio laptop. Be careful when selecting the correct laptop screen. Sony haven’t made it easy for customers of such laptops, and simply getting a replacement screen which is 16.4” in size is not sufficient.

The best advice is to remove the damaged or faulty Sony Vaio VGN screen from your laptop, and write down the manufacturer part number off the back of the panel. It is very important for this series of laptop to purchase the laptop screen off the correct part number.

Confusion between different types of 16.4” screens has resulted in some customers cutting the wires on their laptop screen due to them having different connectors than their original panel. Not only does this invalidate the product warranty, but it is also poor practice. If you have any doubts give our customer service team a call who will glad to assist and ensure that you get the correct compatible 16.4” Sony laptop screen for your Sony Vaio.
