Samsung P510 Charger Problems – Is your adapter broken?

If your Samsung P510 Charger is making a strange noise or you can hear a crackling sound, maybe you plug it in and nothing happens, no lights come on the laptop is the adapter faulty? A lot of adapters including Samsung Chargers may have a warning signal if they are experiencing problems. This may be a high pitched buzzing to warn you of some kind of problem. Sometimes there will be no such ‘warning’,  instead there could be a small light on the charger box to show that it is getting power through it. Check to see if this is still lit.

If you need to wiggle the charger tip in the laptop to get a connection there could be a problem with the wires or a fault inside the laptop. In general a laptop charger can be tested by using a voltmeter on the charger tip. If there is some kind of output, the charger is usually fine, if not a replacement should be bought.
