Dell Vostro 1510 Original Replacement Chargers

There are known issues which mean your Dell Vostro 1510 Laptop Charger may seem like it is not charging. One of which is a software issue which can be easily resolved. Dell laptops have special software and technology which basically means that you should only be able to use Original Dell Adapters. This is to protect the laptop and also to protect the interests of Dell. If you have purchased a new laptop charger and plugged it in, only for it to give you an error message, one of the things you can try is a software update.

This is called a BIOS update and will re-configure your laptop software to the new Dell Vostro Power Supply. This will allow it to be recognised by the laptop and you should then see the battery power indicator charging. You can find this software update through the official Dell website. Search for this update and select the latest version. This should fix any issues you are experiencing and get your laptop back on track.
