When you’ve forked out for a top of the range laptop, it can be infuriating when the laptop panel cracks with even the slightest knock. How can something so expensive be so fragile? It’s a fair question, and one that even the greatest minds at Laptop Power UK have struggled to answer adequately. What it all boils down to is portability. To keep a laptop lightweight and therefore portable, laptop manufacturers have to sacrifice a lot of the hardiness of a standard monitor. There’s hardly a point to having a laptop if it’s too heavy to move around. There’s also the issue of picture quality to consider, most people are happy to sacrifice a little toughness in order to get a hi-definition picture on the go… that is, until the screen breaks.
Looking to the future
Fortunately as the years go by, we could see fewer and fewer broken laptop lcd screens as manufacturers find ways to safeguard the lcd screens in their machines. Business laptops like the Fujitsu-siemens esprimo are already starting to answer the demand for more all round durability and other manufacturers are bound to follow.
Until then we’re just going to have to take extra special care of our netbook screens or failing that, find somewhere that stocks laptop lcd screens at reasonable prices should the screen break. At Laptop Power UK, we think our laptop screen prices are more than reasonable and we make sure we stock the best variety of panels in Europe. From the acer aspire 5650 screen to the medion akoya screen, Laptop Power UK are the only place you need to look for a replacement screen. Top that off with fast, safe delivery and you’ve got a good back up plan until someone invents the indestructible laptop. Fingers Crossed!
