If you have stumbled across this post, then the likelihood is that you are trying to source a replacement laptop screen for the one you cracked a few days ago, and you are being presented with choices for 1 CCFL or two CCFL screens. What is the difference we hear you ask.
There is a very simple way to distinguish between these two types of laptop screens. Take the damaged laptop panel out of your laptop and hold it up in front of you with two hands. If there are two individual and separate pairs of wires protruding from the base of the laptop screen, then you require a two CCFL or double CCFL laptop panel as a replacement. If there is only a single pair of wires then you need a 1 CCFL screen.
In essence 2 CCFL screens are usually higher resolution and provide more power, and typically reside in higher specification and performance laptop of years gone by. The more common and popular laptop screen is the 1 CCFL screen, which also tends to be cheaper. However be careful โ the two types of laptop screens are not interchangeable โ so be sure to take the time and care to find out which one you require otherwise you may be disappointed with what turns up!
