When people crack their iPhone they usually look for an iPhone Screen Repair or a replacement part for it. However f the display is cracked it may not necessarily be the screen. There is a difference between the screen (or LCD) and the digitiser. In the iPhone the LCD sits just underneath a part called the digitiser. The LCD is the part that produces the images you see when looking at the phone.
The digitiser is the top most part of the iPhone that you touch to use. This detects the input from your fingers and translates that into actions such as swiping across to unlock your iPhone. If you have a crack or some damage to the iPhone this is how you can tell exactly which part needs to be replaced.
If when you touch the iPhone you cannot get it to function but you can see the image of your screen saver underneath you will just need to replace the digitiser. If the image on the iPhone is distorted or has coloured lines running through it you will need to replace the LCD. If you have both distorted images and the inability to use the touchscreen function you will unfortunately require both replacement parts. Laptop Power UK is one of the few paces in the UK to complete iPhone Repairs quickly and very cheaply. We can replace a screen or digitiser while you wait.
