Games Console Faults โ€“ What could be affecting your games console?

There are a few faults with the modern Games Console which we all know about. There has been much public outcry as these faults occur in many many consoles yet the manufacturers do not seem to accept there are design flaws and will not repair the items outside of warranty. Even if it is in warranty you will need to package up your console and ship it off to a repair centre sometimes in another country. If you speak to the manufacturer about a repair outside of warranty the price will make you wander whether it is worth buying a new one instead.

So what are the common Games Console problems. In both Xbox and Playstation 3 there is a yellow light and red ring of death issue. This occurs when the chip that controls the graphics fails. The chip is soldered on to the main motherboard in many tiny sections. The graphics chips create massive heat which is why you hear the fans whirring every now and then. They are trying to dissipate this heat. If this does not happen one of the tiny soldered connections may break causing a complete loss of picture on your TV. It takes some extreme equipment to fix this properly or you could try one of the poorer quality fixes found on-line.

Another issue is with the DVD and Blu-Ray Drives. These can fail stopping the games from being read or recognised when in the tray. The best solution for this is to replace the drive which is not all that expensive. For your Games Console Repairs come to Laptop Power UK for the very best knowledge and experience.
