When you plug in your laptop charger and it does not seem to power or charge the laptop do you need a repair? Sometimes the answer is not as simple as just buying a Replacement Laptop Charger. Sometimes the DC Jack or the part inside your laptop breaks meaning the charge from your adapter never reaches the laptop. If this is happening to you first make sure the charger is OK. This is the easiest and cheapest thing to sort out. Look at the charger ‘brick’ part. If there is a light on it, look to see if it is still lighting up. You can also test it with a voltmeter. Test at 20V to see if there is any output.
If this all seems OK, we move on to the laptop. Look for signs of wear on the charging port. Does it look ‘burnt’? Does it smell like it has been singed? If you look at the socket does it move around and seem like it is loose or come away from its fixings. If so this could be where you are having problems. Unfortunately it is a more expensive thing to repair but vital none the less. If you need a Liverpool Laptop Repair why not give Laptop Power UK a call for a quote.
