There are many advantages and reasons why more and more people are purchasing laptops as opposed to desktop computers nowadays. Look at any high street retailer or online seller and you will see fewer desktops and far more laptops. Laptop specifications are much higher now and their portability makes them a great asset whether you are in business, a student or want to use a laptop anywhere around the house.
The only probable disadvantage to laptops for many people is that people do not know what to do with them when they malfunction. Desktop computers were easier to understand; a layperson could easily open the computer tower, peer inside and change a few parts. Laptops are much smaller; their parts are tiny and it is surprising how many people will actually discard a laptop because the laptop screen has cracked and they do not think laptop repairs are possible – yet many laptop repairs are possible, and easier than you might think.
Laptop parts are now widely available and you can purchase both branded and unbranded laptop parts just as you would with most items. When you purchase a laptop it is not the cheapest of purchases, so why should you pay out for expensive laptop parts when there are high quality unbranded parts available? All you need to do is make sure you use a reputable supplier and that all their parts are CE certificated and safety approved, just like ours here at Laptop Power.
