Your iPhone is probably with you everywhere you go to keep you in touch with your friends and the internet. This can sometimes be a bad thing if you end up dropping it into the sink when you are doing the dishes or it gets damaged when you have been using it in the rain. Most Repair Shops will try to steer clear of water damaged electrics as they usually considered to be beyond economical repair. However at Laptop Power UK we have developed our techniques to be able to ressurect
a water damaged iPhone.
In order for this iPhone Repair to have the best chance of working you should switch the phone off immediately and aim to get us the piece of equipment as soon as possible – preferably within 24 hours. This way we can begin to work on the parts
and motherboard before and further damage is caused. With a no fix no fee service we will not charge you for any labour or parts used unless the iPhone is fully restored to working order. You have nothing to lose but a lot to gain!

Compal may not be well known on the high street, in fact you may never have heard of them in the laptop arena. However, they are a huge company manufacturing laptops for the names we have all heard of such as Dell and HP. What happens is Compal will produce a basic chassis of a laptop including the essentials such as main
electronics board, batteries and display panels. These are then sold on to the big companies to be re-branded and for the software, hard drives and other parts to be added.
Whilst you may not have bought your laptop direct from Compal and you certainly won’t be able to buy say, an individual Compal FL91 Screen from them, you can source these parts from Laptop Power UK. With a full range of compatible parts we can supply practically any laptop screen for any kind of laptop.

The beauty of a Laptop Screen is its compatibility. There will not be just one laptop screen that will fit into only one range of laptops or one laptop brand. There is a wide range of laptops of all makes and models that one particular panel will
fit into and work perfectly. Take for instance the LG Philips LP156WH2 Screen. This is an LED panel but can be used on a whole load more laptops than just LG branded. In fact,
practically every 15.6″ LED laptop screen will be compatible.
So if you find the part number of your laptop screen you can do a search by this. But don’t panic if the screen you receive is not this exact part number. As we have explained, there are many compatible parts and all will work equally as well. The only difference will be the factory in which it was made. You can always trust
Laptop Power UK to deliver only the high quality panels that originally came inside your laptop.

The trouble with having a lot of competition for products is that inevitably there will be manufacturers who want make more and more sales. This means they will reduce their prices further and further. To continue making a profit, their costs need to drop in relation to their prices and so you end up at rock bottom. You can be
certain that a rock bottom price means rock bottom quality too. So a laptop charger costing just a few pounds is going to be pretty terrible. Will it be safe and will it last? Who knows – probably not.
We always advise our customers to beware of inferior products for this reason and instead we guide them towards an original Dell Laptop Adapter. These are the best you can get for your money. They are purpose made for your laptop and
have the tightest safety criteria. They are proven to last far longer than a cheap replacement and will do the job a Dell XPS M1530 Adapter should – power your laptop.

The part number on your laptop charger is the best indication as to the exact part you need. So if your Laptop Charger has on the label, Advent ADP-65HB AD Charger, this should be what you search for. It only takes a few seconds for hundreds of results for this item to show up in your search results. Of course, there will be varying standards and
manufacturers. To get the best replacement, let Laptop Power UK take care of the job.
Sometimes the part you receive may not have that particular part code on it, however the part you receive will be compatible to that part. This simply means it is made to the same specifications but by a different manufacturer. The pin that plugs into your laptop and the power rating will still be the same. It is a common
misconception that using an Advent Adapter with a different part number may damage the laptop. This is not the case as the same power is being produced by the adapter itself. If you need help selecting the correct laptop adapter, just
call us on 0845 257 7745.

Laptop Chargers – also sometimes called laptop adapters are the vital piece of your laptop that keeps it all working. The internal batteries in your laptop are only designed to hold a few hours charge. If your laptop is a couple of years old, the
life may only be an hour if you are lucky. Within Laptop Power UK we stock all of the many different varieties of laptop chargers for all makes and models of laptop.
Your new laptop power supply will come in different sizes from small HP Mini Adapters to large 120W HP HDX X18 Chargers. These
become larger the more power you need for your laptop. We have all power rating available from 30W to 120W and everything in between. It is important to get the right amount of power to your laptop as if you plug an underpowered power supply into your laptop, the adapter will break very quickly as it bears extra strain.
Some brands such as Sony generally use only one specific type of adapter, some such as Acer may use two or more different types. Our database tells you exactly which one to avoid any confusion and your laptop can be easily found with our search function. The power rating and also size and an image of the tip will be displayed to
match up to your old laptop adapter.
There may be a couple of options in terms of the size of your tip also. With exactly the same power, the only difference in the different adapters may be the inner and outer diameter of the power supply. Common sizes include 5.5mm outer diameter and 2.5mm inner diameter or 4.8mm by 1.7mm. Small differences but enough to stop it
fitting if you get the wrong one for your laptop.
With excellent knowledge and great customer support we can offer you the very best products with the minimum fuss. All products come with a 12 month warranty and a free UK power cord. You can order on line or call our Laptop Power UK saless team for same day

The question on many peoples lips is how do they find the best Laptop Charger when looking for a replacement. There are a few things you should look into before you start to look around. Firstly take a note of the model number of the laptop.
This will be on the laptop either on the base, near the keyboard or around the screen. Doing this narrows your search down significantly.
Once you know you need an HP G7090EM Adapter for instance you can then take a few details off your old adapter. Look at the tip of the charger and take the outside diameter, then the inside diameter of the
hole. Some laptops within the same model range may have a couple of different charger tips so again, this will help you to get the right HP G Series Power Supply.
Finally look at the label and make a note of the output voltage and ampage. This should read something like 18.5V and 3.5A. So now you know the model of your laptop, the power the charger needs to be and the size the tip needs to be to fit into your laptop and you should not be able to go wrong when buying a new HP Adaptor

Many people ask us this question and the answer is always the same. The best way to tell is to remove the old panel. Lots of people intend to buy a Replacement Laptop Screen and want to fit it themselves. This is a great idea and will
save you a fortune. But some models use two different types, CCFL and LED screens. How do you tell them apart?
From the outside there is no visible difference so you will need to take the old laptop display panel out. You can do this with the help of our Laptop Screen Fitting Instructions. Once inside, you can easily tell the
two types apart. The LED screen will just have one cable connecting it to the laptop – the ribbon cable that is found at the back of the screen. The CCFL version will have this same ribbon cable, usually in the same place but at the bottom of the screen will be two small wires meeting in a small white plug. This then attaches to
the inverter which provides the current to light the screen. That’s all there is to detecting whether you have a CCFL or LED screen. Need further information? Look at our guide on CCFL/LED Screens.
