Laptop Refurbishment and Laptop Repair – Great for the Environment

Whilst the collapsing price of technology has been a positive in the sense that laptops and mobile phones become accessible for a greater proportion of the population, at the same time environmentalists are having a fit! Why? Because the falling price of laptop technology is turning us more and more into a ‘throw-away society’.The useful economic life of a laptop is now little more than 2.5 years, at which point people will simply go and buy a new laptop for £400.However what all the Wee recycling regulations are in response to is the fact that we don’t consider what happens to that broken laptop when we throw it away.

The reality is that laptops don’t degrade well at all and huge stock piles of electrical waste are being created which is causing Western Government a real headache.Whether it is the glass in the laptop screen, or unwanted laptop chargers being thrown in a wheelie bin, all this electrical waste is clogging up our landfill system with huge environmental consequences.Whilst Laptop Power UK’s primary aim is to profit from laptop repair and laptop parts distribution, we recognise the positive effect we are having on the environment. Why? Because by supplying competitively priced laptop chargers, laptop adapters and laptop screens, we are encouraging people to use their laptops for longer, and repair their existing laptop screen as opposed to simply throwing it away and buying a new laptop.

Laptop Power UK’s aim is to help UK customers increase the useful economic lives of their laptops. We provide a fantastic range of laptop chargers and laptop screens which give people a viable and economic option to repair their existing laptop as opposed to throwing it in their local skip.If the UK is to become more environmentally responsible, one part of the strategy must be to reduce the colossal electrical waste being created by broken  or redundant laptops. We hope, to some small degree, Laptop Power UK can contribute to reducing peoples’ proclivity to ‘throw away’ and instead recognise that ‘repair’ is a more convenient, cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution.
