For many years the Dell PA10 laptop charger was almost universal among Dell laptops. The charger was 19.5V 4.62A 90W. The size and style of the charger was not typical when compared to other makes and models of chargers – a little more style that just a plain black box with a label on it. The quality of these chargers was second to none, one of the most reliable laptop power supplies on the market. So why did Dell end this and replace it with the Dell PA3E?
Good question, and we are not sure. But somehow they have managed to improve it. The new PA3E is much slimmer than the PA10, yet has the same 90W spec to power some of the higher range Dell laptops. The tip of the Dell laptop charger has a small blue light around the circumference and illuminates when the charger is plugged in.
Overall the PA3E looks better and the slimmer design makes it ideal for carrying around with the laptop. It can easily be take on the train or to the library and will add very little weight to your laptop bag. We think Dell have produced an excellent Laptop Spare here. Many manufactures make beautiful laptops and then add a brick looking charger. When using your laptop on the move, many will be pleased with the PA3E as it looks as stylish as the laptop!
