After releasing a whole host of 15.6” laptops with LED backlit technology, Sony have reverted back to the Sony Vaio VGN-NW20EF/P which supports a 15.6” CCFL backlight screen. Many commentators suggest this may be a move to quell fears that some of Sony’s 15.6” size laptops are over-priced relative to some of their more budget rivals such as Acer, Advent and even to some extent Dell. This Sony VGN-NW series is an interesting move by Sony and many market analysts are keenly awaiting sales figures over the Easter trading period to assess whether the move has worked.
The Sony Vaio VGN-NW20EF/P laptop charger is still the standard Sony Vaio charger, namely 19.5v 4.7a, which Sony have used consistently for the last 18 months. This was expected by market commentators, but what has surprised some people is the reversion of the Sony Vaio VGN-NW20EF/P screen back to a CCFL format.
Laptop Power UK supply a complete and comprehensive range of Sony Vaio chargers, and provide customers with excellent value when compared to some of the astronomic high street prices Sony are commanding. Sony Vaio VGN-NW laptop chargers and Sony Vaio VGN-NW laptop screens are amongst our speciality, but all Sony laptop chargers and Sony laptop adapters are covered.
Another very popular Sony laptop released recently in exactly the same format is the Sony Vaio VGN-NW20SF/P. Again the standard Sony Vaio charger has been used with a 15.6” CCFL screen. It will be interesting to see whether the Sony Vaio VGN-NW20SF/P or the VGN-NW20EF/P takes the lead during Easter trading but Laptop Power UK’s bet is on the VGN-NW20SF/P to take the lead given that on average it appears retailers are pushing the laptop at about a £30 discount to the VGN-NW20EF/P model. We will sit back and wait and see!!
