Laptops have been with us for years now, however although they have always offered some level of portability, portable functionality has often been undermined by, for example, poor battery life and incompatible laptop chargers. In more recent years, however, with the advent of lithium batteries, and the ubiquity of smaller “notebooks”, laptops are truly beginning to live up to their name as portable solutions.
When netbooks first began to appear on the market in 2008 they where an epiphany in portable computing – and although not as powerful as their larger counterparts, they were perfect for less processor-heavy functions such as word processing.
Since then with companies like ASUS and ACER perfecting their netbook ranges, the processing power of these smaller devices is growing to match larger computers, making them viable as a household’s main computer.
However, is it not processing power that makes netbooks so appealing – it’s their inherent portability, stemming from small screen size and built in wi-fi.
Unfortunately netbooks still suffer from some of the same issues as their larger counterparts, and therefore it is still advisable to have laptop adapters and laptop spares such as laptop chargers which can be sourced easily from Laptop Power UK. For example if the laptop power cable for your ACER netbook suddenly ceases to function through general wear an tear then through Laptop Power UK replacing that laptop power cable is just a matter of a few clicks in the right direction!
