Laptops are useful for household tasks, not just for your employment. A laptop is a handy way of keeping track of household budgeting or monthly shopping. Internet shopping is easier when you are able to access your accounts via a laptop wherever you are, when you think of the items that you need. For busy mothers with small children, it isn’t always possible to take yourself off to another room where the PC is kept to check on your emails or update your shopping list, so having a laptop means that you can carry it around to whichever room you are in with the children.
The trouble is that small children need a great deal of attention and frequently need it immediately as they are about to fall over or do something hazardous, so a mum’s instinct means that she literally drops what she is doing and rushes to the child.
