Laptop Adapter Hot – Why is your Laptop Adapter overheating?

Do you have a Laptop Adapter which gets very hot? Sometimes Laptop PSU’s will become hot during normal operations. If your laptop is very low on charge it may need to work that bit harder to not only run your laptop but also to charge the battery. In some instances however, if the charger gets excessively hot there may be a problem. If there is some kind of fault within the Laptop Power Supply Unit that is causing a short circuit this may increase the operating temperature. Laptop Power UK recommends that if you are ever worried about your electronic equipment overheating that you should always remove it from the power supply.
