Hewlett Packard are phasing out their staple laptop adapter the 18.5v 3.5a DC359A laptop charger. Many people will recognise this laptop charger by its yellow ended connector, or by its HP Spare Part no: 380467-001. Indeed this HP laptop charger part number, 380467-001 charger, has been amongst the most popular laptop adapter sellers in the electronic shopping channels.
It appears Hewlett Packard will replace the 380467-001 with a modified 65w laptop charger with a barrel shaped connector. Indeed some commentators have suggested the move may also be accompanied by a 90w charger also with the same modified barrel connector. The DC359A charger will however continue to be manufactured since it is the charger required by some of HP’s most well known laptops such as the HP 6720s laptop charger and the HP 530 laptop series.
