The Hi-Grade laptop has been a relatively recent, and interesting addition on the High Street. The key models to have been released are the Hi-Grade VA250D charger, the Hi-Grade VA250P and most significantly the Hi-Grade M760S laptop charger. The general feel of the laptops is that they are suitable for the lower end of the laptop market, and we are curious that the laptops do appear to have had some commercial success. The Hi-Grade laptop chargers range is very homogenous and all the Hi-Grade laptops our sales staff have tested have had a 65w charger in use.
It appears many schools and colleges have purchase Hi-Grade laptops given their low cost, and in particular their durable build and chassis. As a result, Laptop Power UK have seen a large demand for Hi-Grade Laptop screens, due to breakage and mis-use by school children (and teachers?). Hi-Grade have used both a Liteon laptop charger and a Li Shin laptop charger with their machines. From our field data and sales figures, it appears that the Li Shin chargers have a higher field returns rate in the UK than the respective Liteon chargers.
We think that Hi-Grade is a brand to look at if the budget is tight, and the mobility of the laptop is not a primary consideration. For these reasons the school and college market is probably the most suited environment for these machines. For customers on the move, looking to game or do heavy processing, it is probably wise to stay clear of the Hi-Grade laptop range.
