Many people find that they need to purchase a replacement laptop charger.Sometimes this is because the previous laptop adapter has been lost, or it has failed. However often the original failure of the laptop charger can ultimately be traced back to customer misuse. Here are a few tips on how you can make your laptop adaptor last longer which hopefully will save you the hassle and expense of needing a new laptop charger:
(1) Dont wrap your laptop cable around the body of the laptop charger – instead use the laptop charger’s Velcro strip as provided.
(2) Dont suspend the laptop adapter in mid-air when using it.This puts great stress on the laptop charger wires.Instead place it on a table surface or the floor.
(3) Turn your laptop charger off at night, don’t leave it on all the time – all equipment likes a break some of the time!
(4) Make sure the wattage of your laptop mains cable is at least as high as that required by your laptop, which you will be able to determine by reading the underside of your laptop.
(5) Keep your laptop charger wires out of the way.If you trip over the wires not only will you snap the wires inside the laptop adapter, but you may also snap your laptop’s dc jack which is a whole different laptop repair altogether.
