Apple released a letter to all owners of the new iPhone 4 as a response to recent controversy about the product.The most sought after mobile was released a couple of weeks ago but soon came under heavy criticising.Many of those who purchased it for paying up £599 soon reported reception suddenly dropped when it was held with fingers touching the antenna running in a stainless steel strip around its body.Apple was surprised by the reports and claims its due to a problem of the mobile’s software.
Apple claims the phone displays the wrong number of bars showing the reception in the nearby area.The formula it uses to calculate the reception is completely inaccurate and Apple will be releasing an updated version of the software to the handset very shortly.Yet the new iPhone continues to prove a phenomenon and has been the most successful Apple product launch in its history.
