HP Laptop Screens can come in a ll manner of types and sizes. If you need a 15.6″ replacement though you will need to read on to find out about the quirky nature of HP Probook Laptop Screens. There are two types of 15.6″ Laptop Screen – one a CCFL screen and one an LED panel. There are two different methods of providing light to these two panels to allow you to view whatever is being displayed on the screen. Unfortunately you cannot pick which one you like the sound of or the one that is cheapest because unless it is the correct fitting, the panel will not work.
The HP Probook 4515S Laptop Screen needs to be removed from the laptop to ensure you know which type of panel it is. The CCFL will have a ribbon cable plus two small coloured wires which meet in a small white plug. This clips into the inverter board. The LED screen will only have the ribbon cable. Once you have detected the correct screen you can then order with the knowledge that once it has arrived you can then simply re-connect the new screen where the old one was removed and normal viewing can be resumed.
