A popular question our sales team are asked, day in day out, is why is my HP Pavilion charger hot. Well firstly, it is natural for your laptop adapter to get hot to a certain extent. You will find that if you have been using your laptop off the mains and the laptop battery has run down, then the laptop charger will get hotter as it begins to charge the battery back up. This is because the charger is working hard in not only powering the laptop โ but also charging the battery back up to its full capacity.
Once the charge has been restored, the laptop charger should begin to cool down somewhat. We have however had many reports of HP Pavilion chargers getting too hot. If you are finding this then the chances are an internal fault has developed with the HP Pavilion adapter and it will need to be replaced.. If the charger is so hot it almost burns the skin to touch -then this is most certainly a problem with the laptop ac adapter and it will need replacing.
Whilst not a great piece of news, Laptop Power UK stock the full range of HP Pavilion laptop adapters including the HP Pavilion DV1000 adapter, the HP Pavilion DV6000 charger and the HP Pavilion DV4000 adapter.
