Dell Vostro 1320 Battery Not Charging – How to fix this

A Laptop Battery can stop charging for a number of reasons. All of them can be solved but it may take a little time to eliminate some of the common problems. If your laptop can be powered by the Laptop Charger alone then it may be that the charger is in fact OK. You could have a battery that is worn out and will not hold any charge. Or else, the charging circuit that sends the power to the battery may be faulty.

If the laptop will not power just through the charger then the Dell Vostro 1320 Adapter may be the root of your problems. If there is any kind of problem within the charger, say a faulty cable, then the charge will not be produced properly and won’t be transferred to the laptop. A replacement Dell Power Supply should cure this. Alternatively, if it is just the battery pack that seems to have failed, a replacement battery will ensure you can power your laptop just off the reserves in the cells.
