When a laptop is experiencing charging problems, does it need a repair? Sometimes the problem is more than simply needing a new Laptop Charger. A very common issue can be with the DC Socket, this is where the laptop charger pin connects to the laptop. Most of these are soldered inside on four or five small pins. If you trip over the cable and jerk the charger out of this hole then you could break one or more of these connections.
In these instances the socket may appear to be loose and may move around. Most people will not be able to strip the laptop down, get the correct DC Socket and then be able to solder it back in place so to avoid damaging the laptop further, we always advise the machine is taken to a Laptop Repair Store for the experts to deal with. With the laptop now mended you should see the socket is now firmly secured and the charger fits nicely giving your laptop a full battery charge.
