When you have dropped your Acer Aspire Laptop screen or Acer Travelmate Laptop screen or you have managed to crack the screen, you will be thinking about purchasing a replacement. Instead of going to your local repair shop, why not take a moment to read our guide on replacing your laptop screen.
Firstly, remove the battery and turn off your laptop. You should then remove the plastic ‘bobbles’ on the screen bezel surrounding the screen. This will reveal some screws which should then be removed. Now the screen bezel is free to come off. Be careful though at this point as the plastic bezel can be very brittle. Once removed you will see your laptop screen held within two metal frames, one either side. Again, remove the screws holding the screen in place.
You will then be able to fold the screen down and place it on your keyboard where you can undo the ribbon cable to the back of the screen and the cable at the bottom of the screen that connects to your inverter. Your broken screen can then be removed.
To fit your new screen, just follow the instructions in reverse and you will soon be browsing the web with your Acer Aspire 7530 screen and Acer Aspire 5050 screen in perfect working order.
