The Acer Aspire 5315 Adapter Charger provides the power to your laptop to charge the batteries and also to run the laptop off the mains supply. The current from the supply in your house is not suitable to run the laptop and so it must be changed into the correct type of power. This is what the Acer Aspire Adapter does. Once the electricity enters the little black charger ‘brick’ it is converted from AC current to DC current. This then flows through to the laptop and its main electronics board.
Without a properly functioning Laptop Charger this power cannot be converted into a usable power source for the laptop and so you will not be able to charge the batteries or power the machine.
