Acer almost exclusively over the years relied on a standard 19v 3.42a (65w) laptop charger. However with Acer’s recent release of a whole host of larger sized screened laptops – the 65w specification simply doesn’t have sufficient power and hence the release of the higher specification Acer adapter. Commonly requested items at the moment include the Acer Aspire 9400 charger, the Acer Aspire 7100 charger and the Acer Aspire 8940 charger.
In Laptop Power UK’s view, customers should think carefully before purchasing a machine with a bigger laptop screen. Sure, it’s a great feature if you are going to watch lots of films. However it comes at the price of a loss of portability of the machine. As the saying goes ‘bigger isn’t always better’. Another slight drawback is that the replacement laptop screens for these large laptops are also considerably more expensive in the instance you have an accident. However when it comes to sourcing the Acer laptop adapter – worry not – they are all in stock with Laptop Power UK – and are the same price as the 65w power cables.
